Great Book for Project Managers

Kenneth H. Rose, PMP, has provided the project management world with a good book, Project Quality Management: Why, What and the way. once I review books I scan the fabric with a couple of principles in mind, together with Technical Accuracy, Usefulness, Clarity, Concise, and Importance of the fabric. This book meets or exceeds these principles.
The book is ready up in four sections: Quality Foundations, Quality Management, Tools for Managing Project Quality, and Quality in observe. beginning with Quality Foundations, Kenneth takes the reader through definitions, the history of the standard movement, and introduces the pioneers of Quality. This section is presented during a technically correct, clear and concise manner. the fabric offers the reader an understanding while not being too deep to be boring or over done.
In the second section, Quality Management, Kenneth starts introducing the weather of the PMBOK, PMI's Project Management Book of data, the book most project managers use to set up & execute comes. to help in using the tools, starting during this section, Kenneth provides a case study within the Appendix that the reader uses to use the knowledge. The liberal use of illustrations, charts and graphs adds to the understanding of the fabric, and continues the correct, clear and concise approach the complete book is written. This section are going to be attention-grabbing to project managers not accustomed to the PMBOK and also the tools they will not bear in mind exist.
Starting within the final chapter of the standard Management section and thru the third section, Tools for Managing Project Quality, Kenneth introduces an in depth description and use of the tools of quality equipped by the pioneers of Quality because it relates to project work. during this section the knowledge from the previous 2 sections is brought along terribly clearly to help in actual use.
In the final section, Quality in observe, W. Edward Deming's (one of these pioneers) Red Bead experiment is presented. The experiment is presented as a sensible experiment for your team to use to substantiate their new or increased information before applying it to a true project. facet note: appears like a good team building exercise.
As for the importance of the text, absolutely! it's the sole book i do know of written for the project management community regarding Project Quality Management with the PMBOK interwoven. This book may well be used as a coaching tool or reference tool for college kids, novice or veteran project managers.
